Tim Peterson

Chief Executive Officer

Tim Peterson was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Inceptra in April 2019 having previously served as COO and EVP Global Sales since October 2013. Tim also served as Vice President of Sales at Inceptra from 2004 to 2013. Prior to Inceptra, Tim held the role of Regional Sales Manager from 1999-2000 and Vice President, Sales from 2000 to 2004 at RAND Worldwide. Tim has over 23 years of PLM software sales experience, including launching successful sales operations in numerous territories across the United States. Prior to joining RAND Worldwide, Tim held a management position in the financial industry with Cityside Savings and Financial, a regional banking institution in the state of Minnesota.

Dan Smith

President and Chief Technology Officer

With over 30 years experience in the PLM industry, Dan Smith was appointed President of Inceptra in April 2019 and has held the position of Chief Technology Officer since October 2014. Prior to that time, Dan served as Vice President of Engineering and Business Development for Inceptra since 2004. Dan is responsible for Inceptra’s PLM and Technology strategy and for working with its strategic clients on the introduction and implementation of new software solutions and services. Prior to this Dan was one of the founding employees of RAND Worldwide, from 1988 to 2004. During this time, Dan was responsible for new product selection, development strategy and integration of global acquisitions and held a number of senior positions in both an engineering and sales capacity. Dan has a bachelor’s degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Dan Dunne

VP, PLM & Support

Dan Dunne has served as Vice President of Engineering since December 2013. In his current capacity, Dan presides over Inceptra’s PLM pre-sales engineers and Inceptra Product Support and License Management. Prior to this role, Dan served as Director of Engineering where he was responsible for helping customers and potential customers understand, acquire and implement CAD tools, 3rd party complementary solutions and Enterprise PLM solutions. Dan has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.

Horace Pardais

Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer

Horace Pardais is the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for Inceptra. His primary responsibilities include developing the company’s strategic and annual financial plan, operations management including IT and human resources, sales administration and contract management. Prior to this, Horace held several positions for RAND Worldwide. In 1997 he held the position of Regional Controller for the Canadian RAND Worldwide operations. In 1998 he became the U.S. Regional Controller and oversaw the integration of multiple acquisitions. Horace assumed his role at Inceptra as Director of Operations in 2004 until 2012, when he assumed the responsibilities of CFO and Treasurer. Horace has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, with double major in International Business and Management from Florida International University.

Jim Ryan

Board Chairman

Jim served as Chairman, President and CEO from October 2008, when he joined Inceptra from Dassault Systemes Americas Corp., to April 2019. After successfully leading Inceptra for more than a decade, he now carries on his service with Inceptra as Board Chairman and business consultant. Prior to this, Jim served as Vice President of North American Channel Sales and Channel Development at Dassault Systèmes from 2006 through 2008. While at Dassault Systèmes, Jim also held the positions of Vice President of SMB Sales for the Americas from 2003 to 2006, and Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Business Development for the Dassault Systèmes ENOVIA brand from 2000 to 2003. Prior to joining Dassault Systèmes, Jim served as VP of Business Development, Strategy, and Alliance for Engineering Animation, Inc. (EAI); VP of Marketing and Professional Services (EAI); and VP of Business Development for Rosetta Technologies, Inc. Jim’s experience also includes 24 years with IBM Corporation in various leadership positions in sales, marketing, and both hardware and software development.
